  • Description

    Roof Tile (with holes) is used for terraces. Holes in the roof tiles create air pockets that trap air and provide thermal insulation for the lower floor.

    The perforated roof tiles are made by a process known as 'Extrusion'. For the process of extrusion, a dough of moist clay is made, which is then ex­truded through a mould to create a long slab of a desired size. These slabs are then cut by using wires to create the product. Extruded products have round edges and softer finish, reflecting its manufacturing process.

    Through special composition of clay, the colour of the prod­uct is obtained after firing. No artificial pigments are used. Therefore, the colour of roof tile never fades away.

    The introduction of perforations reduces the volume of clay used and hence reduces the weight, making the prod­uct lighter and easier to handle.

    The perforations also help in enhancing the thermal insulation, thereby helping in keeping your AC bills low in summers.
